We offer a range of services for all of our service users and staff:

Psychology Services
We have our own Psychology Department based at our Reading Head Office. The team is headed by two Consultant Clinical Psychologists who have many years of experience in the Learning Disabilities field. Their supervision and direction support a team of five Assistant Psychologists, a Transitional Psychologist and a Counselling Psychologist, who are involved in the assessment and interventions that address the emotional, psychological and behavioural needs of our service users.

Activity Opportunities
Each person within CHOICE receives an individually designed package of Activity Opportunities, in accordance to their specific needs and abilities, likes and dislikes.

The Activity Opportunity programmes offer a wide range of activities with the aim of building on existing skills and supporting each individual in their continued personal development.

Training Opportunities
We recognise the importance of staff development and training, and we are fully committed to ensuring that all of the training and development needs of our staff are identified and seen as a priority.

All of our new staff complete an induction programme within the first period of employment, and we have an ongoing programme of training and professional development in place to ensure that our staff are fully able to meet the needs of our service users.

Staff Counselling Service
This service has been developed for our staff to address the sometimes stressful nature and complexity of their roles. The service is provided by a Counselling Psychologist who has extensive experience in this field and is a long-standing member of our Psychology team.
