Service users at Hazeldene took to their tools recently to remodel a section of their garden with the help of Support Worker, Gus Tun.
Brian, Jamal, Daniel, Julian and Stuart performed tasks and learned skills such as weeding and hoeing, garden design, paving and installing water features to create a peaceful area for summer time relaxation.
“The task took the team 10 days using the horticultural therapy sessions scheduled in their day services timetable,” says manager, Christian Bales, “but I think anyone who sees it will agree that it was well worth it.”
The team are now planning their projects for next year.
