Our Philosophy
We aim to enable our service users to live a happy and fulfilling lifestyle in a secure and homely environment. We promote independence, choice and community integration and encourage our service users to develop their personal skills in daily living, social skills, communication, education, decision making and future planning, whilst at the same time preserving and upholding self-determination, privacy and dignity.
We take care to meet individual physical and emotional needs, encouraging development through preferred activities and nurturing positive relationships with staff and peers. We have been able to develop an extensive in house training programme around epilepsy management, in a very person centred approach meeting individual’s specific epilepsy presentation and needs. Necessary additional equipment is also provided to meet individuals, safety which includes a bedroom door alarm epilepsy mattress, emergency call system and a bedroom to lounge listening monitor.
In addition the home does provide in house specific person centred daily Physiotherapy for some of its service users. We offer when needed support and advice from our in house Psychology and Psychiatry Teams.
