Cambria House is a large, detached house situated just two minutes walk away from the busy town centre in Winchester , Hampshire. Situated in a one-way street, and with easy access to all the shops, cinemas, college and sports centre amenities, this home has been tastefully modernised and upgraded to a very high standard.

Registered for eight service users, Cambria House provides residential care for adults with mild learning disabilities and associated complex personal and emotional difficulties who have semi-independent skills but require ongoing twenty four hour support, counselling and care.

The accommodation is spread over three floors. On the ground floor there is one single bedroom with en suite facilities, a bathroom, dining room, kitchen, communal lounge and a smaller relaxation lounge. On the first floor there are four single bedrooms with en suite facilities and a small utility kitchen and the lower ground floor contains three further single bedrooms with en suite facilities, a utility laundry room and a day services room for computer, education and hobby interest activities.

We promote self-help and community integration by encouraging independence and personal achievement in living skills, social development, communication and education, whilst at the same time preserving and upholding individual self-determination, privacy and dignity. We take care to meet individual physical and emotional needs, encouraging development through preferred activities and nurturing positive relationships with staff and peers.

Where is Cambria House?

From Junction 9 of the M3, follow signs toward Winchester Town Centre.
Follow the one-way system past the NCP car park on the left hand side up St. George’s Street .
Take the second right by the Royal Winchester Hotel, which is St. Peter Street . Cambria House is approximately 400 yards on the right.
To park, go to the end of St. Peter Street and turn right, first left, then first right and there’s a pay and display car park straight ahead.
