About Fearnley House
CQC rating - Excellent
Fearnley House registered for 4 is a large bungalow (situated next door to Heronsmede, another CHOICE home) in Old Windsor. Just 3 miles from both Staines and Windsor town centre, it offers individualised accommodation for four adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities, physical disabilities and associated complex needs.
The home provides a safe, homely, environment with four single bedrooms, two separate bathrooms (one with a walk-in shower and bath hoist) and a large lounge/dining room that leads out to a conservatory and onto a small safe garden which has a separate day service summer house for creative and educational activities.
In addition the home has its own specifically designed transport to use for its leisure, recreational, educational trips and activities in the community.
Our Philosophy
We promote self-help and community integration by encouraging independence and personal achievement in living skills, social development, communication and education, whilst at the same time preserving and upholding self-determination, privacy and dignity. We take care to meet individual physical and emotional needs, encouraging development through preferred activities and nurturing positive relationships with staff and peers.
We offer when needed support and advice from our in house Psychology and Psychiatry Teams.
