Carisbrooke registered for 5 is home to adults with severe learning disabilities and associated complex needs. It is ideally situated near local shops and just 5 minutes away from Caversham village and Reading town centre.
The home has 5 fully en suite bedrooms, (2 ground floor / 3 first floor). On the ground floor there is a separate bathroom, kitchen, dining room, large lounge, and a conservatory that leads out to a safe secure garden which has its own ‘sensory’ summer house.
Individuals living at Carisbrooke all receive a carefully planned transition to support them in their move, individualised 24 hour care within a safe and attractive environment, a bespoke programme of activities to promote on-going personal development and on-going psychology input to support emotional and behavioural needs.
The home also has its own transport for leisure, recreational and educational trips and activities in the community.

We promote independence, choice and community integration and encourage our service users to develop their personal skills in daily living, social skills, communication, education, decision making and future planning, whilst at the same time preserving and upholding self-determination, privacy and dignity.
We take care to meet individual physical and emotional needs, encouraging development through preferred activities and nurturing positive relationships with staff and peers.
We offer when needed support and advice from our in house Psychology and Psychiatry Teams.
Where are we?
From Junction 11 of the M4, take the A33 along Rose Kiln Road , Reading.
Drive over a roundabout and continue towards Reading Town Centre
Drive past a large retail park on your left (B&Q, McDonalds, Pizza Hut etc) and through a large set of traffic lights / roundabout.
Continue along and drive straight over the next roundabout, still on the A33.
At next set of lights, continue straight on towards Caversham (past a garage & retail park / Matalan on left).
Continue straight on at next 2 sets of lights (keep in right hand lane do not take the slip road on the left).
Continue on through another set of lights. Go under a bridge & past a fire station on your left. At the next roundabout (you will see TGI Fridays on your right), turn left towards Caversham.
Continue along this road. Go straight over the next roundabout (hotel on your left) and over Caversham Bridge.
Keep in the right hand land into Church Street . At the small roundabout turn left into Prospect Street , keep left at traffic lights up Peppard Road . After travelling approx 1½ miles Carisbrooke can be found in the left side road.
