My Home, My Future within CHOICE

My home, My future within Choice

We provide an enabling, supportive and stimulating residential environment in which adults and young people (aged 16+) with learning disabilities and associated complex needs can live a happy and fulfilling lifestyle.

All service users can expect to receive our commitment to support their personal development, no matter what their level of disability. We enable and encourage individuals to take an active role in the local community and support them to live as independently as possible; making their own decisions and establishing their own personality.

In accordance with the framework set out by the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) and our own internal quality assurance processes, our objective is to maintain high standards within all our homes and we are very pleased to report that all of our homes operate to a CSCI rating of good – excellent.

Our residential and community care homes are based in Wiltshire, Hampshire and Berkshire and are therefore able to provide a specialist local service to these funding authorities as well as to the neighbouring counties of Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, Bedfordshire, East & West Sussex and the London Boroughs.

We have considerable experience in supporting people with a range of complex needs including ASD, Autism, Aspergers, emotional difficulties, behavioural difficulties, downs syndrome, epilepsy, schizophrenia, depression, bi-polar disorder, self harm as well as many other conditions that require a very bespoke care approach from a specialist service such as ourselves.

A fundamental part of our success in supporting people with such complex needs is our ability to provide a multi-disciplinary approach from our own in-house psychology and psychiatric services and our on-going commitment to staff training.

We have a thorough referrals and assessment process and work with individuals and their advocates to plan a bespoke transition programme for anyone moving in to one of our homes. Any referral made can be guaranteed to receive a prompt and professional response from a member of our referrals team, a process which can also be accessed on an intense basis to accommodate individuals who may find themselves in need of a move on an emergency basis.
